Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or racing as a guest on Ghana Typing Competition ("GTC", "the platform"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

The platform is open to all individuals. Users under 13 must have parental permission. By registering, you confirm you have the right to use the platform in your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
  • Usernames must not impersonate others or contain offensive language.

4. Fair play & anti-cheat

All race results must reflect genuine typing. Automated tools, macros, scripts, or any method of artificially inflating WPM are strictly prohibited. Suspicious results are analysed server-side and may be discarded or result in account suspension.

5. Conduct

Do not abuse, harass, or threaten other users. The report system exists for legitimate conduct issues. Misuse of the report system is itself a violation.

6. Intellectual property

The GTC name, logo, and platform code are owned by Ghana Typing Competition. Race passages used on the platform are either original, licensed, or in the public domain. Do not reproduce platform content without permission.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, without notice. You may delete your own account at any time via the Contact page.

8. Disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is." We make no guarantees of uptime or accuracy of leaderboard data. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the platform.

9. Changes

These terms may change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
